.NET Developer

VerticalApps is seeking a qualified .NET Developer to join our growing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) practice. Our RPA practice is a group of highly motivated and creative professionals that use RPA along with other modern technologies to solve our customers’ unique business challenges and improve their daily lives. Our practitioners build bots that automate repetitive, labor-intensive tasks to relieve our customers from the mundane so they can focus on high value, meaningful work. 

We’re seeking candidates with .NET experience who are ready to take their skills to the next level, delivering automation solutions to our customers, providing software development expertise to junior practitioners, and helping build our advanced automation capabilities using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with customers to understand their work and where they see improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with peers and experts to evaluate the feasibility and impact of automation.

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality and resilient automations.

  • Demonstrate automations to customers, support training, and provide operational support.

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of automations and troubleshoot as needed.

  • Develop prototypes to demonstrate creative ways of applying automation tools.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices to support automations.

  • Explore new technologies and techniques such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to keep pace with industry and improve automation delivery.

  • Mentor less experienced technical team members to build and grow the team.

  • Champion the use of Agile principles and practices to build a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous improvement, and predictable delivery within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • US citizen

  • Ability to meet federal contract requirements including suitability or security clearance

  • Reside in the Washington DC metro area

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical role supporting project delivery or product development

  • 2-4 years of practical .NET experience (or similar programming language) developing end-user applications (desktop, web, or mobile)

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience:

  • CSS selectors and Xpath

  • Web application frameworks (HTML5, AngularJS, and/or ReactJS)

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

  • Github source code management

  • Agile delivery

  • Federal government consulting
