Intelligent Automation Developer
VerticalApps is seeking an experienced software developer to join our growing Intelligent Automation practice. Our practice is a group of highly motivated and creative professionals that use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) along with other modern technologies to solve our customers’ unique business challenges and improve their daily lives. Our practitioners build bots that automate repetitive, labor-intensive tasks which enable our customers to focus on high value, meaningful work.
We’re seeking candidates with hands-on software development experience who are ready to take their skills to the next level by delivering automation solutions to our customers and helping build our advanced automation capabilities using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage with customers to understand their work and where they see improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with peers and experts to evaluate the feasibility and impact of automation.
Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality and resilient automations.
Demonstrate automations to customers, support training, and provide operational support.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of automations and troubleshoot as needed.
Develop prototypes to demonstrate creative ways of applying automation tools.
Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices to support automations.
Explore new technologies and techniques such as AI & ML to improve automation delivery.
Champion the use of Agile principles and practices to build a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous improvement, and predictable delivery within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
US citizen
Ability to meet federal contract requirements including suitability or security clearance
Reside in the Washington DC metro area
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 2 years of software development experience supporting project or product delivery
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience:
Experience using a major RPA platform such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
CSS selectors, Xpath, and SQL
Github source code management
Agile delivery
Federal government consulting
